What is the Avenue of Flags?

We invite and encourage you to join your neighbors in participating in our Avenue of Flags program. It is an excellent opportunity to support your neighborhood and community as part of our most successful annual fundraiser.

​Optimists collect a $45 subscription fee for a single flag or $90 for two flags on display. 
Volunteers, including youth groups such as Boy and Girl Scout troops, high school booster clubs and youth athletic teams, place a 3' x 5' American flag in front of your home and then retrieve the flag at the end of the day on the following national holidays:
  • Memorial Day
  • Flag Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Veterans Day
Please note that inclement/severe weather may prevent flag delivery if deemed unsafe for workers.

HOW TO SUBSCRIBE

Please make payment a minimum of seven days prior to your first flag holiday to be added to the route.
​If 'No records found' is displayed during your address search, you are not on a Davenport Noon Optimist flag route and may be on a QC Morning Club flag route instead. While we are both Optimist clubs, we each run independently and have separate organizers. To contact the QC Morning Optimist Club, call 563.499.1120.
A $2 service fee is applied for online payments.
